The inclusions under Bajaj Group Health Insurance are as follows: 

  • Ambulance expenses during medical emergencies are covered.
  • Maternity hospitalization and newborn baby expenses are included.
  • Coverage extends to pre-existing diseases.
  • Expenses for daycare treatments that do not require overnight hospitalization are covered.
  • Medical costs incurred before and after hospitalization are included.
  • Operation theatre charges are covered.
  • Costs related to pacemakers, dialysis, organ transplants, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy are also included.

Bajaj Group Health Insurance – Exclusions

The exclusions of a Bajaj Group Health Insurance policy are as follows:

  • Self-inflicted injuries or harm are not covered.
  • Injuries resulting from the policyholder’s involvement in criminal activities are excluded.
  • Treatment for HIV and AIDS is not covered.
  • Injuries sustained as a victim of criminal activity are not included.
  • Suicide and suicide attempts are excluded from coverage.
  • Plastic and cosmetic surgeries are not covered unless medically necessary and recommended by a doctor

    Ans: The premiums that one pays against a group health insurance policy offered by Bajaj Health Insurance Company are eligible for tax deductions U/S 80C of the Income Tax Act, 1961.However, tax benefits offered under group health insurance plans are subject to some other conditions as well. So, it is suggested to check with the tax consultant to ensure the fulfillment of various other conditions before going to make any claim
  • Q. What are the various types of groups that can be considered in a group health insurance plan?

    Ans: Groups are typically classified into two categories – employer-employee groups and non-employer-employee groups. In most cases, group health insurance plans are chosen by employer-employee groups
    For non-employer-employee groups, members must share a common purpose or engage in the same economic activity. Examples include societies and employee welfare associations. It is important to note that a group cannot be formed solely to obtain the benefits of a group health insurance plan.
