Why to Check RC Status Online?

There can be many scenarios where you must check the VAHAN RC status. Here are some common reasons to check vehicle RC details:

      Complying with Law

A valid RC is a compulsory requirement for operating a vehicle in India. The traffic police may stop you for routine verification, and you may need to show your updated RC to them. So, ensuring that your RC is valid and updated is critical to comply with the country's motor laws.

      Proof of Vehicle Ownership

An RC is proof of the ownership of a vehicle. You must have an RC under your name to be considered as the owner of a vehicle. By checking RC details, you can confirm the vehicle owner's details. This may be of help at the time of resale or purchase of a second-hand vehicle.

      Insurance/RC/PUCC Status

From insurance to Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) validity, your vehicle registration certificate contains much information. Sometimes you are due to renew your RC, PUCC, or vehicle insurance but are unaware of their expiration date. In such situations, doing an RC check can be helpful as it will help you renew your documents before they expire.

      Hypothecation Details

Checking VAHAN RC details is also essential when checking whether the vehicle was bought on hypothecation. Moreover, you may also need to get hypothecation terminated when the loan on the vehicle has been paid in full. This requires changing the ownership of the vehicle from the lender to the owner. In such situations, you may also need to check RC details beforehand.

Some important tips that should be kept in mind while availing RC services from Parivahan Sewa are:

      • Payments must only be made via the official website to prevent fraud or any duplication.
