      What is RTO Form 30?

      As per the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, it is mandatory to submit RTO Form 30 to intimate and transfer the ownership of a vehicle. The form has four sections, covering the details of the transferor, transferee, financier (where applicable), and for office endorsement. It must be submitted in duplicate if the vehicle is under a hire-purchase, lease, or hypothecation agreement. The duplicate copy, after endorsement, is returned to the financier once the entry is made in the Registration Certificate (RC) and Form 24.

      • Details of the Financier: Name, address, and signature.

      How to Fill Out Form 30?

      Here are the steps that will help you fill Form 30:

      • Step 1: Address the form to the registering authority.
      • Step 2: Fill out the first section with transferor’s details, including name, husband’s/father’s name, signature, etc.
      • Step 3: Enter the name, address, and other required details of the transferee along with their signature in the second part.
